Metropolitan Women’s and Children’s Center Provides a safe residence for battered women and their children while they receive assistance to re-establish their independence. Contact Metro Center at 504-837-5400.
First-Time Homebuyer Training and Financial Fitness Class provides instruction on family budgeting, home maintenance, and the rights and responsibilities of homeownership to low-and moderate-income persons. Contact JeffCAP at 504-736-6900.
Housing Counseling provides counseling in money management, rental and purchase procedures to low- and moderate-income persons. Contact JeffCAP at 504-736-6900.
Homeless Shelter & Assistance prvides residential shelter for homeless adults and their children. The shelter is located at the Hope Haven/Madonna Manor campus on Barataria Blvd in Marrero, LA. Contact Jefferson Family Care Center at 504-347-0772.
Repairs on Wheels for the Elderly provides minor home repairs for eligible homeowners age 60 and older in Jefferson Parish. Labor is free but homeowner must pay for the cost of materials. For more information please contact Volunteers of America (VOA) at 504-482-2130.
