The Waggaman Civic Association meets every first Wednesday of each month.
We normally do NOT meet during the summer months: June, July & August.
7:00 PM
Waggaman Playground Meeting Room
516 Dandelion St
Waggaman, LA

The meeting agenda usually includes representatives from Jefferson Parish,
and the Jefferson Parish Police Department.

Throughout the year, we discuss upcomming projects such as our annual Easter
Egg Hunt, Summer Camp, Night Out Against Crime, Curb Appeal contest,
Trunk Or Treat, Christmas Decorating Contest and our Christmas Social and many more.

Hope to see you there!

Waggaman Civic Association

Founded in 1980, the Waggaman Civic Association is the oldest civic association in Waggaman. In these past 30 years, we have seen Waggaman grow from a rural, farming community to Jefferson Parish’s answer to the Northshore for country living at its best.

We are very active in the support and improvement of our community, monitor all commercial building, attend the Jefferson Parish Council meetings, work closely with our local police and fire departments, sponsor award programs for our local elementary schools, work with the Waggaman Development Group for community capital improvements and landscaping…and that is just to name a few of the projects we are involved in.

Various Waggaman groups that the WCA has sponsored or contributed to include: Waggaman Playground Boosters, Live Oak Library, Live Oak and Lucille Charbonnier schools, student awards and Santa Claus celebration, LOMVFD Christmas Parade, Catholic and Baptist churches, National Night Out Against Crime, Crime Stoppers and the annual Neighborhood Christmas Lighting contest. We also have an exciting annual contest (called Curb Appeal) where one lucky active (just attend 5 meetings in calendar year) member wins a $5,000 front yard makeover! So come on out and join….make a positive difference in your community!!
